Payroll reporting has changed - operating PAYE in real time
HMRC is introducing a new way of reporting PAYE - called Real Time Information, or RTI.
From April 2013, employers will be legally required to report PAYE in real time. This means that information about all PAYE payments needs to be submitted to HMRC online each time a payment is made as part of the payroll process, rather than at the end of the year as they are now.
Each time you make a payment to an employee you must first make an online report to HMRC. Failure to deal with the new regulations will lead to penalties.
There is no need to make RTI reports if ALL your employees are paid less than the National Insurance threshold. If ONE employee exceeds the NIC threshold then RTI reports must be made for ALL employees.
If we complete your accounts we can take the headache away for you by guiding you what you need to do before 6th April 2013 and carry out the calculations and online real time information reports. If you have 10 employees or less our weekly fee will be £10 or our monthly fee will be £25. If you are a limited company with one employee liable to tax/nic ( the director ) the fee will be £15 per month. There will be a set up fee of £30.
